Ah yes- Liquid lipsticks, the hottest trend for the Beauty Bloggers of Instagram and Youtube! Ever since Jeffree Star, Kat Von D., and Kylie came out with liquid lipsticks, everyone has been dying to have the entire collection! Like lipsticks, liquid lipsticks can come in a variety of finishes. Matte (Jeffree Star’s Celebrity Skin is on Prép’s top hot list!), shiny, and sheen. After you’ve applied a coat of colour, it should be smooth, not drying, and lightweight- you shouldn’t even feel it. However, different lipsticks work differently for everyone. Prép artists recommend you apply a thin layer of lip balm or your favourite chapstick before applying a coat of matte liquid lipstick or paint. You always want to aim for the smoothest gliding lip product since the skin your lip is so delicate and thin. If enlarging your lips is not one of your goals, try lining your lips by using a lip liner similar to your lip stick to ensure long lasting, all night wear. Pauline’s Story:
Pauline Youngblood was a paramedical aesthetician to dermatologists and plastic surgeons, since her time as a medical aesthetician she founded Youngblood Cosmetics in 1996 and is president of the company.
