Covid-19 Re-opening update | Prép Beauty Parlour |

We have missed you all! We are getting closer and closer to reopening Prép… we cannot wait to see you all again! We currently do not have a concrete date, but we are aiming for June 1st if health officials clear us to open up again. When we open, our top priority will be keeping all of our staff and clients safe and we will be implementing new regulations to make sure everybody stays safe.♡  

What we will be doing to keep our staff and clients safe:

♡  No cash payments – we encourage contactless payments! We will be disinfecting the debit machines between each client.

♡  Everybody will be required to wear a face mask to their appointments. Our technicians will have masks and shields to keep everyone safe!

♡  We ask that you only come in for your appointment time. To make sure we are still social distancing, we will be closing the waiting room.

♡  We will be taking less appointments at a time, and the lash technicians will be spaced out to every other bed. Spots are low and inquiries are high so make sure to get your name on our waitlist here!

♡  We will be adding hand sanitizing stations around the salon for our guests and staff.

♡  We will be changing the bed sheets between every client. To keep you comfortable, we will switch the towel on top of our pillows between every appointment so it is fresh for each client.

♡ We will be doing a deep clean of the salon everyday. 

♡ We will be keeping a close eye and make sure we follow all the instructions from health officials! We will all get through this together!

EyEnvy FAQ

You may have heard lot’s about “EyEnvy” recently… but what exactly is it and how does it work? Keep reading to have all your questions answered!

Q: What is EyEnvy?

EyEnvy is a lash (and brow) growth serum. The end looks like a flimsy eyeliner brush which you

use to apply on your lash line.

Q: How do you use EyEnvy?

To apply EyEnvy, first you want to shake the bottle a few times. Next, wipe off any excess product on the rim about 3 times; this will make sure you have just the perfect amount as you don’t want too much! Next, apply the product on your lash line (just like an eyeliner) and do so for both eyes. Important note! Make sure to not double dip between the two eyes. For the first 3 months, use EyEnvy everyday in the morning. After 3 months, use it every other day just to maintain your results.

Q: Why does EyEnvy need to be used in the morning?

Studies have shown that using EyEnvy in the morning decreases the chance that you will have any sensitivity to the product.

Q: When will I see results?

You should start to see results in 4-6 weeks. Full results will be achieved in 3 months. The trick is to use it everyday for the best results! After you have your luscious long lashes in 3 months, use EyEnv

y every other day to make sure you maintain your perfect lashes.

Q: How long will one bottle last?

Prép carries the larger bottle (3.5mL). This bottle will last you about 6-12 months.

Q: How do you maintain results?

After you have your full results in 3 months, make sure to use EyEnvy every other day to maintain!

Q: Can you use mascara/makeup with EyEnvy?

Yes you can! Just allow 1-2 minutes for the EyEnvy to dry first and then go ahead!

Q: Is EyEnvy safe during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

It is recommended to not use EyEnvy when pregnant or breastfeeding since the effects haven’t been tested.

Q: Can you use EyEnvy while wearing lash extensions?

Yes you can! Just make sure to wait at least 48 hours after your lash re-fill or full set before using EyEnvy. It’s great to use EyEnvy while you have your extensions on because your natural lashes will be growing and healthy while you still have your extensions on! How full your eyelash extensions can be depends on the natural state of your lashes. Longer and fuller lashes means you can get fuller lash extension sets as well!

Q: Can you use EyEnvy with contact lenses?

Yes! Just wait 15 minutes after you applied EyEnvy to put in your contacts.

Q: What are the ingredients in EyEnvy?

EyeEnvy lash serum

Taking a break from your eyelash extensions during the COVID-19 crisis? We love and miss doing lash extensions at Prép… but we have just the solution for you!

EyEnvy helps grow both your lashes and your brows… EyEnvy is a lash growth serum that helps grow your natural lashes so they are healthier, thicker, stronger and the best part… longer! You will see results after 3-4 weeks.

How to use it:

Apply the serum everyday in the morning for the first 3 months. Make sure to shake the bottle a few times before applying, and wipe off any excess on the rim (you don’t want too much!). Next, apply one thin layer onto your lash line, and wipe off any excess off your skin. Repeat for the other eye. For the first 3 months, use it everyday in the morning and then every other day after the initial 3 months to maintain your results.  You will start to see results within 3-4 weeks of use!

Summer is FINALLY on it’s way! (Or so our calendar says… Vancouver weather says otherwise..), so what does this mean?

It means beaches, deep forest adventures, late night bonfires, and morning jogs at the seawall of course! With all of these activities, plus our vitamin-D giving friend Mr. Sun, wearing strip lashes the entire day is a big no-n0. Why? Not only is it uncomfortable to wear strip lashes all day, but just imagine that mascara running down your cheeks on the hot summer day! Absolutely dreadful!

Unlike strip lashes, lash extensions are completely waterproof, fool proof- allowing you to enjoy your favourite summer activities at ease! 1Okay, but regardless of whether you’re diving in and out of the pool or not, always cleanse and rinse your lashes! Rinsing your lashes gets rid of the buildup that’s been living on them- aka, dust, pollutants, makeup (if you’re a sneaky mascara wearer!!!). Not only does it cause your lashes to fall out faster, but can also cause very nasty blepharitis! Particularly in the summer, we strongly recommend that you cleanse your lashes after swimming! This is where chlorine, salts, and other chemicals will cause even more build up than usual!

Summer means tons of bonfires and creating moments near the ocean! Camp songs, selfies, everything seems great! Until you get too near the fire! Since your lash extensions are made of a synthetic material, the ends will look burnt and crinkly if too close to the heat! The same thing goes for those family BBQ nights!

3It is always important to remember that a big part of making sure your lashes last, is to take proper care of them! Besides cleansing daily, this also means to brush them everyday with your spoolie to remove all the build up of dust that might have collected on your lashes! It also helps to brush from the top down to remove any tangles your lashes might have ended up in.

4If you’re like us and like to wear make-up on top of your lash extensions to give it that extra kabam, we would highly recommend you only use our Volume Touch Mascara. Since it is made and formulated for lash extensions, it is free of oils and calls for a easy removal! If you want to wear eyeliner as well as other make- up, we would say to use only oil free makeup, as well as eyeshadow or powder makeup! Just remember, oil and lash extensions are not friends!

Lastly, but never, ever least- sunscreen! Wearing sun screen is a definite MUST! It is super important to protect our skin from UV rays to prevent skin cancer as well as wrinkles and fine lines caused by overexposure of the sun. So yes- it is important to wear sunscreen while we’re enjoying fun summer activities, but how do our lashes like it? Again, as long as it is an oil free sun screen- feel free to use all the sunscreen you want at your disposal!
