1.Facials As Early As Possible
A smooth and clear complexion is a must have on your wedding day! This look is completely achievable with a custom Eminence facial treatment; we recommend changing your skin routine at least 1 month prior to the wedding date. It is very important to keep your skin hydrated and protected from the sun with a minimum SPF of 15-30.

Go for a natural or dramatic look with lash extensions by one of our master lash techs at Prép! Classic lashes (1 lash per natural lash except baby hair) are perfect to start. If you prefer more volume or a more dramatic look you have the option to fill them in with Russian volume before the big day.

3. Custom Sculptured gel nails
Every bride needs the perfect set of nails for those wedding ring close ups! If you have soft nails gel overlay (sculptured gel extensions) are highly recommended otherwise if your nails are strong, healthy and are you’re preferred length already then going with a gel polish manicure may be the way to go. You can customize your manicure with art, Swarovski crystals, chrome or a classic french to match your wedding theme.

4. Wax Everything
Never waxed before but want to give it a try? Start out with a french bikini leaving you shaped and clean without all the extra hassle or go full out with a brazilian. Eyebrow shaping will make or break your wedding day makeup, we suggest booking a few days before the wedding to make sure any redness has subsided. Our most requested package is “The Complete Bride Package” which includes trials, strip/cluster lashes and of course hair and makeup on the big day. In case you didn’t know; you can add lash extensions into your package instead of strip/cluster lashes, our Prép team can travel to you as well if your wedding is not in downtown!

During makeup appointments, you have the option of purchasing false eyelashes, both strip and individual, and having them applied by your artist. We offer 2 different brands for purchasing:
Assorted Miss Adoro Strip/Cluster Lashes (usually 1-3 times use max) – $12
Selection of Premium Mink Esqido Lashes (reusable up to 30 times!) – $32+
If there is a product in store that you would like to use, please do not hesitate to ask your artist! We carry cosmetic brands Youngblood, Younique, Makeup Forever, and more! Sampling a new foundation or lip colour may just result in your new favourite product!

Blue Hues: LimeCrime Liquid Liner Review

A while back we published a blog on current spring beauty trends, one of them being the return of 70’s inspired blue eye makeup. We decided to have some fun and try out our own rendition of the look as well as review the popular liquid liner formula from Lime Crime Cosmetics. Here’s how it went!

Mika had previously purchased Lime Crime Liquid Liner in “Blue Milk” and hadn’t tried it yet, so IMG_1717instead of using the Nars product mentioned in our spring beauty trend blog we went with something new. I had been eager to try out this look for a while, and the added bonus of using Lime Crime for the first time made this a super fun experience. That morning, I had washed my face as per my usual routine of a daily oil free exfoliant and Eminences Clear Skin Moisturizer (available at Prép).

For my face, we wanted to keep it pretty simple as  the focus was the eyes. I am pretty fair so we had to fake a bit of a tan to draw out the depth of the blue. Mika corrected my skin tone with the Stila Color Correcting Palette using a damp Beauty Blender. I love how easy correcting with cream pigment is with the Beauty Blender! She patted in some Youngblood tinted moisturizer as well as added a couple swipes of Becca Cosmetics Champagne Pop Highlighter. My brows were tamed with a few expert strokes of Benefits Gimme Brow. A light dusting of Laura Mercier setting powder finished my face.FullSizeRender-2

Once I was bronzed to perfection, Mika used some nice brown Burberry shades for my eyelids before she applied the liner. The brush we found to be not the best quality for application, so Mika ended up using a normal angle brush. The liner went on a little thin but dried pretty fast so we were able to build it up to a perfect intensity and the matte finish popped drastically against the browns. I ended up wearing the liner for the duration of the day and was pleasantly surprised that by 10pm the liner was still just as intense and precise as it was when it was just done.  I really enjoyed using Blue Milk and it is a colour I will definitely invest in for myself.
