Botox party pop-up with Dr. Macadam and Nurse Azin | Prép Beauty Parlour

Hi Prép babes! We are back to share some more exciting news with you all! On Sunday, May 26th, Cosmetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Macadam, alongside advanced Asethetic Injectables Nurse Azin will be at Prép Beauty Parlour in Downtown Vancouver to host our first Botox party!

Nurse injector Azin, RN, BSN, BSc, has over 18 years of experience in the aesthetic indurstry. Her eye for symmetry, balance and beauty is remarkable. She has has had the pleasure of training with some of the best in the industry and is currently one of the most sought out injectors in Vancouver. Azin will be offering various treatments including: Botox, lip fillers, cheek fillers, and micro-needling. Before and after of chin augmentation with dermal filler. This treatment is used for profile balancing and has a beautiful effect on making the lips more perky and pouty.

The material used,  Belotero, is made in Switzerland and has the no risk of lumpiness that can happen with other fillers. Belotero is a dermal filler made of hyaluronic acid. It is used to restore loss of volume in the face, specifically temples, under eye hollows, cheeks, lips and jawline.

Our YUMI Lash Lift & Tint service is a great alternative to strip eyelashes and the classic- eyelash extensions. It’s low-maintenance, lasts 8-12+ weeks, and allows you to apply as much eye makeup as you please! Today we’ll take a look at the wonders the lift can do for people with different eye shapes!

Now it is important to understand exactly what the YUMI lash lift is. Quite simply, it is a lift of your natural lashes. This is done through a relaxing beauty nap where a series of lotions and oils over a silicon rod on your eyelid, with your lashes placed on top (Psst, you can read more about that here where we go in depth about the process!).

If you’re used to extensions or wearing strip lashes, this might be quite a different experience for you. First- it does not add any length to your lashes, as a lash enhancement service, your natural lashes are put to work! However, it is possible for some clients to notice extra length if they are blonde or brunette, and have brunette lashes with light-blonde tips, the little tint at the end of your service helps darken your lashes and thus, creates the illusion of longer lashes!

For this client, she noticed an extremely dramatic difference after the lash lift! In the before photo (top), it was clear she had very long, natural lashes, but due to the weight of the lashes, it was downturned and didn’t reflect how amazing they were! The lift helped her keep them up and all without the use of a curler!

This next client also has the same eye shape, however rather than downturned lashes, she has natural unruly and curly lashes. The lash lift (ironically), straightens and corrects her lashes so they are not curly and “criss crossed” but instead, lifted up and away from the eyes, showing their length!

2. HOODED EYES

Photoshoot with Eva Grace Photography | Prép Beauty Parlour

One who browses our dream- like Instagram page will see that we are often doing different types of collaborations and photoshoots. Prép is a salon, but we also hope to establish a community where we can all support and promote each other in a fun, sister- bond way! We are huge fans of working with local talent because not only do we get exposure and experience from working with these individuals through their channels, we also make great friends and connections along the way!

This past month we collaborated with a few local models, athletes, and photographers to put together a small photoshoot to get to know each other while creating memories! Photographer @EvaGracePhoto opted for a care-free, relaxing beach vibe in this photoset. Eva Grace tells us that her:

“style of photography is fun and creative! I’m not about the stiff awkward poses, because truly those are not the ones that represent who you really are.”

The two lovely models in this shoot are the gorgeous @HaydenKortemoore, whose Instagram is filled with travel and adventure photos, and the classy fashionista @MegSayle. Hair and Makeup by Mika and Miku from Prép (us!), of course!

[NEW] Jr. Tech Eyelash Extensions Pricing | Prép Beauty Parlour

Our family at Prép is always growing! With the busy Summer season, we have added a few more members to the team! These brilliant ladies will be starting out at the introductory JR price as listed below and will be for the duration of the rest of August and September. Starting October 2018, appointments with our Jr. technicians will revert back to regular pricing. Our JR technicians are those who have recently graduated from lash academies and are looking to gain more experience performing lash services on different client eye shapes and styles.

The duration of appointments for our Junior technicians are longer than those of regular appointments. They will be 2 hours for a full set instead of 1.5 hour, and will be 1.5 hour for fills rather than 75 minutes.

 

We are excited to have our new technicians on board and are extremely grateful for all of our lovely clients and their support in their learning process!
