The YUMI™ lash lift is perfect for those who love spending time in the water or gym frequently as you don’t have to worry about using specific face washes after (such as the lash extensions). It’s also the best lash enhancement option for ladies who love their natural lashes look when they’re curled.

1. How long does it last?

The lash lift should last anywhere from 6-8+ weeks! Sometimes even 12 depending on your natural lash cycle and how fast your lashes shed and grow out! However, some ladies with grown out lashes may notice odd kinks- to solve this, we recommend applying the 3D Keratin Lash conditioner. This conditioner not only has keratin in it, but also conditions and keeps your lashes healthy and shiny!

2. Who is best suited for the YUMI™ lash lift?

The YUMI™ lash lift is suited for those who have strong, healthy lashes! If you have weaker or thinner lashes, we recommend you try out the lash growth serum EYENVY, to grow and strengthen your lashes before the procedure for best results! For those lucky ladies with long and strong natural lashes, the lash lift can look comparable to eyelash extensions!

Yes! The YUMI™ lash treatment is 100% safe for new moms! However the new hormones surrounding the pregnancy may hinder the YUMI™ products from completely performing the service. If you decide to go ahead with the YUMI™ treatment, please do so at your own discretion, and understand there may be no effect on the natural lashes. (Unfortunately due to store policy, Prép Beauty Parlour is unable to offer full refunds for any lash services).

4. How should I prep for my service?

Before your appointment, please refrain from using any eye makeup or remove it before you come to your appointment. This it to avoid any extra added sensitivity surrounding the eye area.

For 24 hours prior, we also ask that you avoid using any growth or lash serums as this may cause the lashes to not lift during the service.

5. Can I get the YUMI™ treatment while I still have lash extensions on?

Unfortunately as the treatment is an enhancement on your natural lashes, the lash extensions will get in the way of the treatment. We also do not want to be adding the perm solution to any synthetic lashes!

6. Can I get lash extensions while I have the YUMI™ lash lift?

Yes and no. Getting a lash lift if you naturally have stick straight, or super curly lashes can help get your natural lashes into a good ‘curve’ and make it easier to apply lash extensions. However if you have naturally long lashes, then get extensions after the lash lift treatment, your natural lashes will be too curvy for the synthetic lash to be applied.

7. Is the treatment vegan friendly?

Yes! The YUMI™ lash lift treatment is vegan, non toxic, hypo allergenic, paraben frees cruelty free, and formaldehyde free!

We say this all the time- the better you care for your lashes, the longer they’ll last! Of course, there are other factors that come to affect the longevity of your lashes. Such as the change in weather, natural lash at the end of its cycle and shedding, or the use of makeup. Some of these are inevitable. So we should learn to care for our lashes the best to our abilities! Let’s dive into how!

Lash Cleansing 

  • Properly cleansing your lashes at least twice a day is essential to keeping your lashes healthy and long-lasting. You might be thinking… hmm wouldn’t it cause my lashes to fall out if I am cleansing them? The answer is no! The adhesive used is water proof! As long as you are gentle and using an OIL- Free cleanser, (see which one we recommend here!) It should leave your lashes looking clean and fresh! Not cleaning lashes leads to build up (especially if you’re a make up wearer! Which then puts extra weight on your natural lashes and cause fall out/ damage).

Stop Getting So Many Fills!

  • We see a lot of clients regularly coming in every 2-3 weeks for fills, which is perfect for keeping lashes looking fluffy and full! But it is also easier for the lashes to fall out faster after their 3rd or so fill. We recommend you come in for a full set followed by 2 fills, and then getting a removal and starting over with a fresh new set! This way the lashes aren’t in different “cycles”.

No Mascara or False Strip Lashes! 

  • Mascara and falsies are perfect for a night out, they’re super fluffy, long, and just look so darn good! But! Mascara and false strip lashes are the mortal enemies of lash extensions. Not only do they put on extra weight on the lash extensions, but they can also damage the natural lashes very badly when being removed. However- there is a way around it! Extension safe mascara! (Check out our favourite go- to mascara here!) Extension safe mascara is lightweight and easy to remove. Making sure you don’t have to aggressively rub to remove ALL the product!

Bella Lash has created and come out with many products that will be sure to extend the life of your beautiful lashes, and limit your visits to get fills! ♡INTELLISEAL♡

One of Prép Beauty Parlour’s favourite Bella product in which we use after each lash nap is the IntelliSeal. Essentially, the IntelliSeal- as mentioned in it’s name, seals your lashes. Think of it as the top coat and the cuticle oil at the end of the well deserved manicure. Voted ‘Best of Product in 2016’ by LNE Spa & Magazine, it also helps to cure the lash adhesive and conditions your natural lashes. The stronger your natural lashes are, the better the bonding life of the extensions.

♡LASH CLEANSER♡

We love our lash extensions, why? Because it gives us that amazing oomph in both length and volume with little effort! Pop a little bit of concealer on those under eyes, our favourite shimmery eyeshadow, highlight, bronze up, and we’re good to go! So how do we go abouts safely removing all of that product off without damaging or pulling our lashes? Many make up removers on the market contain nourishing oils that will only cause our lashes to fall out quicker. This is why our favourite go-to is the Bella Lash Cleanser! It is gentle, completely oil-free, and make just for eyelash extension wearers! Not only is it the best lash cleanser to remove our make up with, but it also contains Chamomile and Saponaria extracts that nourish the natural lashes! Come in & pick up a bottle!

♡DEEP CLEANSER♡

Another cleanser Prép carries is the Bella Deep Cleanser. We typically do not recommend using a mascara no eyelash extensions safe as it can be very difficult and damaging to remove. Luckily, we do have another cleanser for you know, those “I NEED” mascara days. This formula has a thicker consistency and works harder to remove any mascara residue from Sephora or eyelash extension safe mascara. All without damaging the bond between the extensions! The best thing about this deep cleanser for lashes is that it has added moisturizers and vitamins that help to condition and strengthen your lashes as well as the sensitive area around your eye.
